Financial and Club Design was established in 1992 by Peter Lever, following a 5 year stint as Commercial and General manager of Rochdale Rugby Union Football Club. Peter‘s background is from the world of cricket playing for Lancashire and England, and subsequently going on to coach Lancashire for 3 years, and England for 2 years.

Initially, the company‘s business was in the financial assessment and ”troubleshooting• of sports and social clubs. This proved to be a much sought after service, with clubs from the 1st Division of the Courage Rugby Union to cricket county ”outgrounds• seeking advice.

As the business developed, Peter was joined by his son Stuart, and then by two skilled and vastly experienced architects in Barry Campbell (M.B.I.A.T.) and Norman Greeney (R.I.B.A.). Barry and Norman worked for the P.S.A. and played a large role in the development of sporting facilities for the British Army. The advent of the Sports Council Lottery Fund changed the company‘s business profile beyond all recognition. From the majority of business being drawn from the assessing and troubleshooting side, it shifted to designing and giving professional advice for Lottery Grants.

At any given time, the company has a customer list of in excess of 30 clubs, from the Northwest, Tyneside, Teesside, London, Devon, Wales, Scotland and the Midlands. We have even worked in Northern Ireland and Eire.

The company carries Professional Indemnity Insurance, and insures each building contract separately.

Our aim is to provide a quality service for sporting organisations and to continue building a solid reputation, built on sound knowledge, a professional approach and the ability to solve problems and adapt to the many differing environments of sport. Our company name is linked with integrity, trust and hard work, and we aim to keep it so.
