This list is accurate as of 27/5/97.
This list is intended to provide a guide to the compatibility of a number of items of PC hardware with the assortment of RPC PC cards available. It must be stressed that this list is somewhat incomplete at the moment and should not be taken as an absolute guarantee of compatiblity, i.e. you buy hardware at your own risk. This list will be updated as and when I obtain further details and amendments. In short, if you find a mistake or can fill in a gap then tell me !! It is still at quite an early stage of development.
This list is somewhat sparse at the moment!
This is a magneto optical device that can store 100MB on a special disc. It exists in both a parallel and SCSI version. The SCSI version can be accessed from Risc OS using MAGFS which is available on Hensa. The parallel port version can be used at the moment only from the PC card under DOS, windows 3.1 and windows 95 (use the non-windows 95 driver) or using the Argonet drivers from RISC OS.
A somewhat similar device to the Zip drive, the EZ135 will store 135MB on a disc. It can be used with Windows 3.1, Windows 95 and DOS discs plus ADFS too! The RPC apparently doesn't like a PC disc in the drive when the computer is first turned on, but after the initial Risc OS screen you can access discs with no problems.
Know to work when accessed via a Powertec SCSI card working either formatted in ADFS format, and containing two partitions drive_c and drive_d together with !PC software or when formatted in DOS format with !PC on an IDE hard drive.
